Jojaru is seeking a dynamic Opto-Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the design of mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies for our exciting technology developer client operating within the Aerospace, Defense, and Industrial sectors. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge product development and drive the creation of new intellectual property (IP).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies and sub-systems.
- Conceptualize and construct prototypes, while crafting detailed drawings and production instructions.
- Ensure the creation of comprehensive technical documentation (including Models, CAD drawings, Simulations, BOMs, etc.) pertinent to optical and mechanical design.
- Collaborate closely with management to align product development with customer requirements.
- Formulate product technical requirements and specifications.
- Engage with various engineering groups and cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Supply Chain.
- Manage projects independently and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team comprising scientists, engineers, and technicians.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales, and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Opto-Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Opto-mechanical best practices with a bonus for Electro-mechanical design experience.
- Demonstrated willingness to share expertise and contribute to team development.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, and other relevant software.
