Jojaru is in search of a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic team at our cutting-edge precision optics development and manufacturing client, specializing in the Military, Aerospace, and Commercial/Industrial sectors. Reporting to the Director of Operations or the Senior Production Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency and yield.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations or the Senior Production Engineer to develop and implement production schedules and manufacturing methodologies.
- Take ownership of tool and fixture designs to meet manufacturing and quality requirements, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Liaise with in-house manufacturing personnel and external vendors to support tool and fixture fabrication.
- Provide support for CNC programming methods and contribute to equipment maintenance.
- Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize procedures.
- Release job travelers and maintain accurate material inventory.
- Adhere to process procedures, work order instructions, and other production documents.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment, device, or product issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in using precision tools such as calipers to take accurate measurements.
- Strong numeracy skills with analytical abilities.
- Familiarity with CNC and Mastercam software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP software is a plus.
- Prior experience in a machine shop environment is desirable.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
