They’re rewriting the rulebook of finance and are seeking a talented Engineering Manager to help drive our mission forward.

The Role:

The company are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their decentralised and remote tech teams. This company relies on Python to power their solutions, complemented by React for their user interfaces, deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful execution of their product roadmap. You will also collaborate closely with their product and design teams, forming a product trio.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor remote engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
2. Technical Strategy: Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and architecture for our fintech products.
3. Project Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed efficiently.
4. Technical Excellence: Promote best practices, code quality, and scalability while ensuring the security and reliability of our systems.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with product development goals.
6. Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process to attract top engineering talent to our decentralised team.
7. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.

 

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in software development, with a strong track record of technical leadership.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, both backend and frontend, is preferred, and Python, Typescript and React in particular are highly recommended.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with a history of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies is a must.
  • Experience working in a product trio function is highly desirable.
  • Experience with fintech or related industries is a plus.

 

Please Note:

Ideally, the successful candidate would need to work full time from the company’s main office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Relocation package provided) but remote working opportunities will also be considered with travel to the company’s offices required 2-3 times per year.
